Where Creativity is American made...
Weaving is a method of textile production in which two distinct sets of yarns or threads are interlaced at right angles to form a fabric or cloth

If you learn one new medium this year, let it be how to weave. It’s one of those centuries old traditions that is both practical (in certain forms) and beautiful and can be sort of soothing to the soul. Scarves and wall hangings are a great way to start - one with a rigid heddle loom and the other with a tapestry loom - either one is a great choice to start with!

Generally the classes we offer are full day on Sundays. We spend the morning reviewing techniques and appropriate fibers, then move on to warping the looms and then sit down and start weaving, finishing up the project in time to learn to finish off and remove it from the loom. This fall we are going to try another version of the class, splitting it into 2 half days, review of technique and warping the first week in the shop, then taking the loom home with you to finish the weaving, coming back the next week to finish off. Give it a try!

Please bear with us as we continue to load our vast inventory!
In the meantime check out our great weaving classes
