After many years in the fashion business, making alpaca and llama wool apparel in partnership with artisans in Bolivis, Illimani started to focus on the yarn; by applying all their experience on knits and fine wools to carefully select the very best natural yarns in the world at reasonable prices.

Illimani has worked with thousands of artisans in Bolivia and Peru, many of which have mastered the art of knitting and crocheting. Their mission is to provide the materials and the inspiration to customers to help them create their own artisanal textiles.

The company also works along with international aid organisations to support artisans in the Bolivian and Peruvian Andes commercialize their products in the North American markets.
