We offer a range of high-quality yarns, tools, and classes to help our community craft beautiful projects and learn new skills.
Job Description: We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Yarn & Fiber Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will blend your love for yarn with your expertise in teaching and sales. You’ll have the opportunity to share your passion with customers, help them find the perfect materials for their projects, and provide engaging classes that enhance their crafting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with yarn selection, project advice, and troubleshooting.
- Teach fiber arts classes, including but not limited to knitting, crocheting, and needle felting.
- Maintain an organized and inviting store environment, ensuring yarn and supplies are well-stocked and displayed.
- Develop and promote new classes and workshops that attract and engage customers.
- Handle sales transactions.
- Stay current with industry trends and new products to effectively advise customers and enrich our offerings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience and passion for yarn crafts, including knitting, crocheting, and needle felting.
- Experience in teaching fiber arts classes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and occasional evenings.
