Where Creativity Is American Made...
Intro to knitCompanion software
Are you tired of printing and using paper patterns? Are you constantly making notes as you knit your project? Do you often misplace your patterns?
Do you find paper patterns hard to read? Do you forget where you left off? If so, you might enjoy learning about knitCompanion by attending a class at Craftworks.
knitCompanion is a pattern tracking app for knitters that is highly customizable and interactive. It is available on iPad, Android, and PCs. The basic app is free but with limited features. There is also an enhanced version for a nominal yearly fee.
Patterns can be imported directly from your Ravelry library or pdfs from Drop Box.
This class will be a 2 hour hands on introduction to the basics of knitCompanion including showing how to create a sample project, tracking your progress, counting rows, customizing counters and markers, adding notes to your project, and other topics.
The student should come with an iPad or Android tablet with knitCompanion already installed. Either the free or enhanced version of knitCompanion can be installed from knitcompanion.com. The student should also have a Ravelry account.
