Where Creativity Is American Made...

The Caroline Jacket Revisited and Revived (3 part class)

Take a trip with Janet as she helps you to design your one-of-a-kind jacket blending knitted sleeves and gusset with gorgeous fabric panels to create a signature design.

You can choose between a more basic typical approach using your favorite stitch pattern (Janet's simplified approach) or from the original Caroline Jacket with more advanced textured pattern sleeves. Two identical sides are knit then attached to the fabric panel. Panels are included.

If you are a slow knitter, expect to finish one side during the full class and finish the second side independently.  If you are a fast knitter, you can attempt both sides simultaneously.

During the first class there will be obligatory measurements and swatching and then it's off to the races.  The first class is devoted to the sleeve(s) worked in the flat.    The goal is to have the first sleeve finished by the second class.  During the second class, we will expand the sleeves to include the gusset/front and back bodice.

A three week break should give you comfortable time complete at least the first side.  On our final class, we'll put the finished touches on for accent trim and attach the pieces together.
