C2C & Joining Squares (Crochet)

We’ve been exploring stitch dictionaries and learning how to use some of the exciting patterns to be found within.

It’s so easy to make useful things like washcloths, but afghan squares (or rectangles, or hexagons, or other shapes) are also fun to make and can be put together in so many other kinds of projects beyond the obvious afghan!

First we’ll look at the basic C2C (diagonal block stitch pattern) method, because that’s so quick and easy to make. But then we’ll explore how these squares can be put together to create larger patterns (traditional quilt designs are particularly appealing), and look at three (at least) different methods for joining them.
